What do you do when you are asked to wait for someone? Do you automatically scroll through Facebook? Do you pace? Do you ever randomly ask yourself how a phrase came into existence? A couple of weeks ago I was sitting in the car with my mother while we were waiting for my sister and as we were talking I mentioned that I had a friend that lived kitty-corner to my sister. That started the next 20 minute discussion.

After wondering over how the phrase came into existence and following it up with a google search that proved to be pretty entertaining; I decided I had to share my findings and also share with you 4 other phrases that I regularly use.
