Easter Weekend

I am very lucky this year because I have the opportunity to spend Easter with all of my family members. How lucky did I get?! It requires me to travel but it will be worth it in the end. I am also lucky because I don’t have to do all the start to finish planning and preparing—I have my family to help! But I would be sad if I didn’t contribute in some way so here are some of the things that I am contributing to this year’s Easter celebration.

  1. I need to bake something with the kids and this is pretty simple and easy for everyone to do provided by Pretty Providence
  2. I get to bring the veggies to the table so I am bringing this from House of Nash Eats
  3. I am also creating the deviled eggs and I love the ranch ones from Hidden Valley
  4. I am also adding Salmon to the dinner (since I don’t eat pork) and I really want to try this recipe from A Gouda Life since I think it will pair nice with the rest of the dinner.
  5. Unfortunately I will be travelling while everyone else is dying Easter eggs but if I was there . . . I would totally does this idea from Unsopisticook.

New to Me

It’s time for an update on music I am currently listening to. What do you find yourself listening to on repeat right now?

  1. Say Something by Justin Timberlake
  2. Never Give Up by Sia
  3. Cold As It Is by The Lone Bellow
  4. Rebel by Blitzen Trapper
  5. You are the Reason by Calum Scott & Leona Lewis

Luck in All the Right Places

There are a lot of places in the world that visitors travel to each year to bring luck or good fortune to their lives. I haven’t met a person yet that couldn’t use a little extra in the luck department. Below are some pretty lucky places to travel.

Which one is your favorite or do you have one not on the list?

  1. The Blarney Stone in Ireland
  2. Trevi Fountain in Italy
  3. Weeping Columns in Istanbul
  4. Laughing Buddha in China
  5. Everard’t Serclaes Statue in Brussels

Why Are You Lucky?

Have you ever thought about being lucky? Luck is nothing more than chance but we seem to associate other ideas with the word such as destiny and that implies more action then I think luck would have. However, I do use the phrase a lot to mean blessed. I do know that the people I know who seem to have “all the luck” are those that are generally hopefully about their future, have faith in their dreams, and love those around them.

So what are the things in your life that makes you lucky? Here are my top 5.

  1. My family and friends
  2. My religion
  3. My home
  4. My knowledge
  5. My health
