What is it About the Rain?

Do you know how many songs there are about the rain? Watching the rain fall outside my window, left me humming some songs that I have heard ever since a little girl.

So here are 5 to get you started. What song about the rain did I miss that you love?

Destination: Tacoma

Another work destination had me located in Tacoma for a few days. It was nice spending some time getting to know a place that I usually drive through to other locations. There was a lot of fun things to see and do while I was there and while I have posted before about the Museums, this time I found myself exploring another area. Here are 5 new things that I found that I would go back to in a heartbeat.

  1. Cook’s Tavern
  2. University of Puget Sound
  3. Hotel Murano
  4. Old Town Tacoma
  5. Boathouse 19

Cooler Weather Staples

Just like that, it got cold. I don’t know about you but I prefer being warm to cold. Since Mother Nature isn’t helping out with natural heat; it must mean that it is time to pull out the extra layers. Here are 5 styles that I am liking for this season. Anything you excited to be wearing again?

Soup is on the Menu

Can you believe it is October? Where did the summer go? One day I was wearing shorts and t-shirt; now I find myself in long pants and sweaters. I am now cuddling up in a blanket and keeping the windows closed so as to not let too much cold air in.

That brings me to food. The kind of food I want to eat when I need to get warm. Soup.

Here are 5 recipes I am giving a try this season.

  1. Hot & Sour Soup from Nom Nom Paleo
  2. Bok Choy Chicken Garlic Soup from Canadian Cooking Adventures
  3. Kale Soup with Curried Cauliflower Rice from Cotter Crunch
  4. Instant Pot Chicken & White Bean Soup from Feasting at Home
  5. 15 Minute Wonton Soup from Feasting at Home
