Easter Is Now On

I wasn’t planning on doing anything for Easter this year but now my plans have changed. I will need to come up with a great but quick Easter meal and here are 5 recipes that I am looking at. What are your cooking plans for Easter?

You Caught My Eye

Pinterest is going to be the death of me one of these days especially when I find myself scrolling through the images and stopping a food saying, “Oh, that looks like fun. Let’s try it”!

Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

So here are 5 food posts that caught my eye and I am wanting to try.

  1.  Double Blue Peppermint Moon Milk
  2. Grapefruit Curd
  3. Old Bay Shrimp Burritos
  4. Vegetarian Thai Pineapple Forbidden Fried Rice
  5. Hong Kong Style Mango Pancake

Back to “Normal Food”

It feels like it has been FOREVER since I have eaten what I would consider a “normal” meal. I have had family from out-of-town, the holidays, parties, and long nights at the office that turned my regular eating habits upside down.

Now I am trying to ease myself back into the habit of cooking meals at home and preparing food for the work week. Here are 5 recipes that I am going to try in the next couple of weeks.

  1. Skinny Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Sweet Potatoes from Not Enough Cinnamon
  2. Salsa Fresca Chicken from Easy Family Recipes
  3. High-Protein Avocado Chicken Salad from Beauty Bites
  4. Farro Bowls with Figs, Kale & French Goat Cheese from Feasting at Home
  5. Greek Power Bowls from Delish

The Comfort of Soup and Bread

I grew up in a house where we ate soup but it wasn’t a crowd pleaser (my Dad didn’t like soup) so it wasn’t made with any kind of frequency. As an adult—I just love soup!! I usually get in trouble because I make too much of it but I am always open to sharing. Soup is so versatile, such a chameleon in the food world that you can never go wrong. It ranks right up there with my second love of sandwiches.

Now that the weather has turned cooler, I find myself looking at more and more soup recipes and (of course) the bread that needs to go with it. (Let’s be honest for a second—you can’t have soup without something to dip into it!) Here are 5 recipes that I am looking forward to making in the months ahead.

  1. Asian Chicken Noodle Soup from Delish with Classic French Baguette from Mrs. P’s Kitchen
  2. Vegetable Barley Soup from Hello Little Home with Rosemary Thyme No-Knead Dutch Oven Bread from Pinch Me, I’m Eating
  3. Nonna’s Italian Style Chicken Noodle Soup from 4 Sons R Us with Garlic Mozzarella Dippers from Cooking TV
  4. Quick Chicken Pho from Simply Recipes with (I wouldn’t dip anything in my Pho but if you want something extra . . .) Bahn Mi Sandwich from Food People Want
  5. Signature Spicy, Smoky, Sweet Chili from Iowa Girl Eats with Buttery Sweet Corn Bread from Norine’s Nest
