Peaceful Slumber

I don’t know about you but sleep is escaping me right now. I am very busy at the office with year-end items. At the same time I am trying to get into the holiday spirit by making gifts for neighbors, planning holiday activities and just getting ready in general for Christmas day. I have decided that I need to take 5 minutes every night, before crawling into bed, to unwind with some quiet Christmas music that is guaranteed to bring visions of dancing sugar plums.

Early Christmas Music You Can Get Away With

Now that Thanksgiving has come and gone most people aren’t going to look at you weird if you want to listen to Christmas music prior to December 1st. I sit on the fence with Christmas music before December. Some years, I really need the good feelings that Christmas music brings to my heart and I need it sooner rather than later. That means I fluctuate between Black Friday and December 1st as my Christmas music start date. This year . . . I could use some of the music a little earlier but just to make sure I don’t get the rolling of eyes, here are 5 songs that are apart of Christmas albums (or should be) but aren’t necessarily “Santa Claus is Coming to Town”.

Cozy Weather Music

The nights are longer now. It is raining with more frequency. The need to bake something has been overwhelming. More often than not, I find myself wanting to hunker down underneath a blanket. So in honor of snuggling. Here are some songs that perfectly fit the mood.

Summer Fading into Fall

We have reached the twilight of summer. I don’t know about you but I love this time of year the absolute most. I get the warm summer days but I also get the cool autumn nights. I still have green grass but I have yellow, orange and red leaves on the tree. I can still wear my summer dresses but now I add a sweater to keep my arms warm.

In lieu of the impending turn of seasons; here are 5 songs that I think show that summer is slowly fading into fall.
